What started as a small group of Cornell alumni in the 1970s, has grown into one of the largest university-based real estate alumni networks in the world.  The Philadelphia Chapter of CREC is the network’s most active.  Members of the Council serve the university as a source of expertise in many areas of interest such as investment advice for endowment, planning and property development, and student housing. They also participate in symposia, deliver lectures, meet with students to offer industry perspectives and case studies, and serve as a job network for summer and permanent positions.

The council meets on the second Tuesday of each month for networking and a 1-hour presentation by a commercial real estate leader in Philadelphia focused around significant development deals, market trends, or policy and tax changes impacting the marketplace.  Our largest event of the year is a panel discussion, held in June to cap off our 10-month “year.”  This has become a well-attended, much-anticipated networking and informational event.
